Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Devise a plan, but it will be thwarted; state a proposal, but it will not happen. For God is with us. The LORD frustrates the plans of the nations; He thwarts the devices of the peoples. He thwarts the schemes of the crafty, so that their hands find no success. What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Proclaim this among the nations: "Prepare for war; rouse the mighty men; let all the men of war advance and attack! The battles of spiritual war belongs to the LORD. Jesus is God united with man, and shows that God made his dwelling with men. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. This because God is with us. You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? Immanuel, God with us. Surely Jesus is with us even to the very end of the age.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
