Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Hear my prayer, O LORD; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous. In You, O LORD, I take refuge; let me never be put to shame; save me by Your righteousness. As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one. Therefore no one will be justified in His sight by works of the law. For the law merely brings awareness of sin. I am your servant. Don't try me in your court, because no one is innocent by your standards. The enemy of my soul has chased me. He has knocked me to the ground and forces me to live in darkness like those in the grave. I am losing all hope; I am paralyzed with fear. I remember the days of old. I ponder all your great works and think about what you have done. I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. Remind of your unfailing love and loose me from the miry clay the devil wants me to stay in. O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water. My soul longs, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
