Oh To Be Wise Meditations
I need you to tell me the truth. Do not sugar coat it. Tell me what I need to hear, it might even save my life. All I ask is that you share the truth with me in love. Cover me with mercy and remove my reproach. Be gentle with my spirit as you cut me with the Living Word of truth. If you see me in tears, comfort me. If you see me in rebellion, forgive me. Even in my ignorance inspire me to do better. I need the truth in my life, don’t just watch and let sin and lies ruin me. Do not rejoice at my wrongdoing but rejoices when I see the truth. A truly good friend will openly correct you. Correct someone, and afterward he will appreciate it more than flattery. Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. Help carry each other's burdens. In this way you will follow Christ's teachings.
