Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Jesus says, Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light. He then calls us to do the same for another poor and heavy laden soul that we meet. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. Jesus says, bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. There are so many things God in Christ calls us to do that He has already done for us. Nothing is impossible for God, so nothing is impossible for us. Reconciliation is a reality because of the Cross of Jesus. He made a way where there was not a way, forgiving us for our great sin. In his death to bring reconciliation, we can find strength to reconcile with others. Imitate Jesus, so others can see his love through your life.
