Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the LORD. “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word. LORD, I want to offer you daily a heart that malleable that you can use. Keep my heart from being hardened in pride and sin. A humble spirit I want to carry so that your presence is completely full in me. I tremble at the sound of your word in me heart. When you give me insight and understanding I lose my breath in awe and wonder. Your commandments are so holy, and your precepts so precise. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.
The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. I tremble at the Word Himself when he speaks in my heart and my mind. And The Gospel makes me tremble in awe and reverence at the raw power of Gods love. Meditate this: For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
