Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Oh LORD help me turn my fear into faith. To turn my fear into praise. Whenever I am afraid I must trust in you! You, LORD, are the light that keeps me safe. I am not afraid of anyone. You protect me, and I have no fears. Fear! What is it? A painful emotion or passion excited by an expectation of evil, or the apprehension of impending danger. To afright; to terify.
Faith! What is it? Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. This should be my mindset and posture. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”
Faith over fear. Praise over fear. His perfect love for me cast out all fear as I learn to trust in God.
