Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. The Gentiles used to be outsiders. They were called “uncircumcised heathens” by the Jews, who were proud of their circumcision, even though it affected only their bodies and not their hearts. Amen. The Scriptures tell us, “The first man, Adam, became a living person.” But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a life-giving Spirit. So we are alive in Christ are a new creation. Born again and being made new by the righteousness of Jesus. His life in us is changing and renewing us to His Image. But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died. So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man. Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life. Amen. We are the spiritual clay and Jesus is the potter. Our lives are living sacrifices modeled after Christs life. Create in me a clean heart oh God and renew a right Spirit within me.
