Proverbs of a 37 yr old man
We make our own plans, but the LORD decides where we will go. People do the planning, but the end result is from the LORD. Think about this, if you do what the LORD wants, he will make certain each step you take is sure. For He delights in every detail of our lives. I know, LORD, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course. You protect your loyal people, but everyone who is evil will die in darkness. We cannot win a victory by our own strength. We all make plans for the future, but we cannot control everything. Events that we do not expect will happen. There will be problems. We might need to change our plans. We might not understand the reasons. In all these changing circumstances, God is directing us. God will show us where we should go. He will teach us what we should do. Those who remember God's teachings will never take a wrong step. The wicked wait in ambush for the godly, looking for an excuse to kill them. but the LORD will not leave them in the power of the wicked or let them be condemned when brought to trial. Hope in the LORD and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it. I have seen wicked and ruthless people flourishing like a tree in its native soil. But when I looked again, they were gone! Though I searched for them, I could not find them! Consider the blameless, observe the upright; a future awaits those who seek peace. But the rebellious will be destroyed; they have no future. The salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD; he is their stronghold in time of trouble. Jesus is our way, our truth, and our life. Stick to his plan of salvation, you will be the better for it.
