Loss of doctrine. People need words to live by and to believe in. And not follow every wind of doctrine that comes their way. They need an established truth with a desire to live it. Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint. They begin to be wise in their own eyes, doing whatever seems right to them. There is a need for divine guidance or the human soul will run wild in sin and destruction. We need sound doctrine in our lives. Doctrine that is not just about rules you follow but a relationship with God you keep in Christ. Loss of doctrine is happening in people's hearts these days. The time is coming when people won't listen to good teaching. Instead, they will look for teachers who will please them by telling them only what they are itching to hear. Many have loss the passion to pursue the truth of God in their own lives. Sadly people have built there morals on the ever changing quicksand of this world rather than the solid rock of the Living Word from ages past. Build up a solid foundation on things that are righteous and true. On things that are honorable and worthy of respect. What is right and confirmed by God’s word is pure and wholesome. Its lovely and brings peace, and is admirable and of good repute. Also if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, center your mind on these things, and implant them in your heart. You are building a strong doctrine that will hold strong during the storms and trials of this life. With Jesus as our Chief Cornerstone we will never be moved or shaken.
