Fear is a construct. So many have learned over time and grown to fear certain things. But its subjective, someone fears one thing and another fears another thing. A lot of people create obstacles for others because they are fearful of change, of progress, and of real freedom. Fear crept into our world after sin and it spread its ugly tentacles in every aspect of human life. Even the animals after the flood lived in fear. Gen. 9:2 All the animals of the earth, all the birds of the sky, all the small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the fish in the sea will look on you with fear and terror. I have placed them in your power. The fear of the unknown grips our world especially the fear of death. Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. Jesus calls us to not fret back in fear in living for Him. Hear Him say to you: My righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away. Yes, we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved. We were never meant to live in fear all the days of our lives. Cliffs were meant for flying. Oceans were meant for swimming into the deep knowledge of God. But sin has made man fearful of God. As it should be. Parameters were set. Animals run and hide and attack to defend themselves. Gods holiness was defined after sin so that we would fear him and hold in high regard. He is no dumb idol or genie we can manipulate. Jesus is the King of Kings and LORD of LORDs and make peace with it in your heart today. Then put your fears up to the wind and let Holy Spirit take control of your will. Submit to God your fears and live life how it was meant to be: Fearless. There are three things that walk with stately stride; no, four that strut about: a lion, mighty among beasts, who retreats before nothing; the strutting rooster, the male goat, and a king whose army is with him. Jesus is coming soon with Heavens Army. Be afraid, be very afraid you who do evil and teach others to do so.
