Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
What is that one thing that you want so badly but you know it is sin? If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them. Better yet, whoever knows what is right but doesn't do it is sinning. There are desires and passions in our hearts and minds that are sinful and lead us away from God and his purposes for us. Its like the tree of knowledge of good and evil, we continually keep eating of it to our own demise and delusion. Yes, many of these earthly desires and dreams are worth pursing in the natural. They are pleasing to the eye and desirable for gaining wisdom and satisfaction. But in the end you are living outside of Gods blessings and order, falling into a curse and judgment prepared for the devil and his angels. If you want to live in your own world and delusion, God will allow it. So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies. Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth. I say this with a trembling fear for those who practice sin and teach others to do so: You have already received your reward in full. Jesus told this to the Pharisees for parading around there pride and arrogance. When we choose to live and sin and not live humbly before our God. We give up the blessing that comes from the suffering and fruit of righteousness. Living righteousness is not easy in a sinful world. But Jesus calls us to live for him the way he died for us. Dying to this world and its passions, giving up the pleasures of this world for the redeeming riches of knowing Christ as LORD. What are you holding on to that you know is sin and need Gods grace and mercy for you to let it go and suffer for Christ in it?
