Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

You tried so hard for so long and you got so far. Then you start to realize one thing and you don’t know why. Its that it doesn’t even matter how hard you try, in the end it doesn’t even matter. Let me explain, in due time all I know is time is a valuable thing. Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings.Watch it count down to the end of the day. The clock ticks life away, it’s so unreal. Didn’t take the time to look out below, watch the time go right out the window. Trying to hold on to the time I feel I do have, didn’t even know I wasted it all, just to watch everything I love slowly go. I kept everything inside, I should have said more, gave more, loved more. And even though I say I tried, its still all fallen apart. All that is left behind is what was meant to be, and that is eventually a memory of a time when I tried so hard and failed to know my God in Christ. Yes, in the end of life we tried so hard and got so far. But in the end it doesn’t even matter if it’s without know Jesus as LORD. He said, if you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it. We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing. We heap up wealth, not knowing who will spend it. LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered, oh how fleeting my life is! You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath.
