Prayer is hope. Hopelessness quenches the joy of your salvation. It destroys the work of God in your life because you start to lose your hope in God. It's t hrough the process of sanctification we are finding new strength, new hope to face the past, move forward in the present, and dream for the future. Without hope you will give up on God and give into the world and its demands. Yes, the cares of this world steal the joy you have because of the daily struggle. When we are hopeless we give ourselves over to the devourer. We feed and prostitute ourselves to sin and wicked feelings and lose our soul in the process. We want someone to listen to us and have inappropriate relationships to fill that void. We eat till we are way past full and destroy our bodies with gluttony. Destruction is coming for you if you are in a state of hopelessness. You could have everything the world could offer you. But if you don’t have the contentment of hope constantly burning in you. You will lose your heart quickly for the LORD. And your integrity others will steal from you to satisfy their hopeless souls. Be weary of hopelessness. Hope in the LORD and in his strength. Hear me out: When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your unfailing love, LORD, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.
