Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
Alone with you. I always used to feel like a lone soul without a home. But now I've come to realize that I'm right where I belong. Alone with you LORD. Yes, in the cool of day my soul thirsts for you the Living God! Oh how precious is the secret place where I am alone with you! It is where I truly find myself and strengthen my inner man. All of my help, all of my strength comes from the LORD. Christ in me the hope of glory. He has made his home in our hearts as we trust in him. Our roots will grow down into God’s love and keep us strong. There is great benefit from dwelling in the secret place of the Most High. When we choose to leave behind the world’s delights in favor of a lifestyle of spiritual devotion, God draws near in new ways. We begin to see our sin the way He does. Time spent in the presence of God reveals our true thoughts and selfish motivations that might otherwise escape unnoticed. From this secret place, the fruit of the Spirit takes root and grows. We start to see our lives from an eternal perspective. Earthly frustrations lose significance. As we obey God he will through Holy Spirit continually call us to the secret place with Him. Jesus teaches us and encourages us to remain in Him staying totally surrendered. If our lives are to bear lasting fruit, the power to bear that fruit comes from time spent with Him in the secret place. Alone with you, Jesus. I never feel alone. I join the thousands of believers seeking you in the secret place.
