Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

The abundant life. Jesus came to give us an abundant life. His purpose was to give us a rich and satisfying life. As LORD of our lives, he wants us to live a prosperous life. To live from more than enough and not in constant debt of sin but learning to be content on all circumstances. The so-called Prosperity Gospel has done a disservice to Gods will and word over our lives. The LORD wants us to enjoy good health and that all may go well with us, even as our soul prospers. So prosperous that we actually become generous. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. The definition of generous is showing a readiness to give more of something, as money or time, than is strictly necessary or expected. We are called as Christians to be generous and not legalistic. Scripture says: You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and this generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. Our Heavenly Father is so generous Himself that He lavishes his love on us so richly. See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. Praise God, Jesus has provided for us a way to live by faith through a new covenant with better promises. Not under law and compulsion, but spirit and life overflowing with one another. Let me close with Paul's exhortation to the Corinthians: I always thank my God for you and for the gracious gifts he has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus. Through him, God has enriched your church in every way—with all of your eloquent words and all of your knowledge. This confirms that what I told you about Christ is true. Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. This is the abundant life that is always flowing and moving in us. So that when you give it will be given unto you. In good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Oh, Spirit of Christ pour over me your oil of blessing and presence. For I have everything I need for life and godliness. The power of the Gospel is prospering in me.
