Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

Sometimes the difference is just favor. Yes, God makes the sun rise on both good and bad people. And he sends rain for the ones who do right and for the ones who do wrong. But eventually if you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you! Let me carefully tread on this, but its good to let your heart work on this. Hear me out, The same destiny ultimately awaits everyone, whether righteous or wicked, good or bad, ceremonially clean or unclean, religious or irreligious. Good people receive the same treatment as sinners, and people who make promises to God are treated like people who don’t. But still realize this: Having the gift of Holy Spirit is favor. No matter your social status, your wealth, your nationality, or your education. If you have the gift of the Spirit of Christ you have an advantage over this world. God's Spirit is in you and is more powerful than the one who is in the world. Good understanding wins favor, but the way of the faithless is difficult. Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. So continue to seek favor in the sight of God in Christ. How much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. There is a spirit within people, the breath of the Almighty within them, that makes them intelligent. I think of Joseph when He was sought after by Pharaoh. What did Pharaoh say of him? He said, "Can we find anyone else like this man so obviously filled with the spirit of God?" Sometimes the difference is just favor. Having the gift of Holy Spirit is favor.
