Proverbs of a 40 yr old man
Children of the resurrection. Each person's life touches so many others lives, and when they are not around they leave an awful hole. Ask the broken family, ask the laborers at job sites, ask the sick and the needy, and ask the lonely and the desperate. You matter to the world. God has placed in this world to serve him, and there will only be one you. You are priceless, created in the likeness of God to reflected his life and love on the earth. From one man he has made every nation of humanity to live all over the earth. He has given them the seasons of the year and the boundaries within which to live. God has done all this, so that we will look for him and reach out and find him. He isn't far from any of us, and he gives us the power to live, to move, and to be who we are. We are His children. Since we are God's children, we must not think that he is like an idol made out of gold or silver or stone. He isn't like anything that humans have thought up and made. In the past, God forgave all this because people did not know what they were doing. But now he says that everyone everywhere must turn to him. He has set a day when he will judge the world's people with fairness. And he has chosen the man Jesus to do the judging for him. God has given proof of this to all of us by raising Jesus from death. Amen. We have a Father in Heaven who chose to give birth to us through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all he created. God's Spirit doesn't make us slaves who are afraid of him. Instead, we become his children and call him our Father. In fact, all creation is eagerly waiting for God to show who his children are. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Your life is meant to touches others with the Gospel. The life of Jesus was light of men. May our lives be lights that shine others out of the darkness and into the Marvelous Light of Christ. Jesus can use the one person to reach the many, and the many to reach the one. His love is better than life, and can shine on any darken soul his glory and radiance.
