Proverbs of a 40 yr old man
Even Death and Destruction hold no secrets from the LORD. How much more does he know the human heart! For he searches all hearts and examines secret motives. He gives all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve. Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends. Those who despise flagrant sinners, and honor the faithful followers of the LORD, and keep their promises even when it hurts. Those who lend money without charging interest, and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent. Such people will stand firm forever. The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? Jesus knows! In Matt. 13:15 Jesus said, For this people's heart has grown callous; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them. Amen. It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. Jesus has not come to call the righteous, but sinners. Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. He knows your heavy and destructive heart. If left to our own devices our sinful hearts would destroy us. The only hope of glory is Christ in us. Our once dead, darkened spirits are made alive. Christ is in our hearts, and we know that there is life beyond this earthly existence, a life that will be glorious beyond all imagination. Jesus is making all things new starting with our hearts and lives. Give Him your heart today and allow Him to transform in you a new mind and purpose that sets your heart for true eternity.
