Proverbs of a 40 yr. old man

My Precious!!! Holding onto my sin all these years had made me ugly inside and out. Didn't even feel shame in my filthy robes anymore. Like Job in the Bible, where people who knew him before gasped and were astonished by the trouble he was going through. Same here, sin had taken its toll and was leading me towards depravity and destruction, others who knew me well noticed. But I thank God in Christ because while I was a sinner, He still died for me. Yes, He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. Jesus gave me the beauty of His Life in exchange for the ashes of my sinful life. Amen. Jesus brought us the truth, which is the good news about how we can be saved. We put our faith in Him, and we are given the promised Holy Spirit to show we belong to God. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him. The Holy Spirit is Christ in me! He is my precious treasure living on the inside of me! My inner man is being transformed daily, going from death to life. Before sin made me ugly inside and out. Now The Spirit of Christ is making me beautiful on the inside and giving me a beautiful light of His Glory on the outside. My Precious Holy Spirit! I hold on to you dearly in my heart and soul! I don't want to quench you and grieve you away. I want to hold onto you my precious gift from God! Create pure thoughts in me and make me faithful again. Don't chase me away from you or take your Holy Spirit away from me. Make me as happy as you did when you saved me; make me want to obey! The kingdom of heaven is like what happens when someone finds a treasure hidden in a field and buries it again. Such a person is happy and goes and sells everything in order to buy that field. Amen. LORD Jesus, you have bought me with a price, and you left me your treasure of Holy Spirit in this earthen vessel. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. I am new creation in Christ. I no longer live but Jesus living in me. My Precious LORD! For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Freedom from sin and shame and filled with the Holy Spirit. All of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord who is the Spirit makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
