Proverbs of a 40 yr. old man
Woe is me. I come to worship and praise the LORD dressed in my own comfortable filthy rags and all I can do is fall at Jesus's feet in humble awe and reverence. I have come boldly before the throne and woe is me. I take of my shoes because I am not worthy even to step into his presence because of my sinful nature. John the Baptist said, “I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Oh, Jesus in your presence is Holy Spirit consuming fire, would you fill me with your love and power so I can leave your presence with a tongue of fire on my head. In your presence Jesus all is stripped away. My filthy rags have been removed and I am clothed in Christs Robe of Righteousness. He has put a ring on my finger and calls me child of God. Yes, a son of our Heavenly Father redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Amen. We need a worship that transforms us. And not just words being sung, but a holy life lived as a sacrifice to God. If we do this our worship will be so much more sweeter and stronger. Worship many times is reduced to a feel-good experience rather than a life-changing encounter with Christ. Jesus, You make the path of life known to me. Complete joy is in your presence. Pleasures are by your side forever. The time has come, and it is already here! Even now the true worshipers are being led by the Spirit to worship the Father according to the truth. These are the ones the Father is seeking to worship him. Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud,
and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body. For he holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God nourishes it.
