Proverbs of a 40 yr old man

Pick me LORD. I am not physically strongest but I believe my weakness is made perfect in your strength. I am not the smartest and most intelligent but I do lean on your every Word, your wisdom, your ways, and not my own understanding. I am not the most charismatic and winsome but I have passion for your Gospel that makes me want to share with others. I hear you say: Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Amen. In the secret when no one was watching and there was no applause. Your servant keeps sheep for his heavenly Father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock, I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him and killed him. I have done this to both lions and bears, and I’ll do it again. By the power of Holy Spirit in me! People tend to judge the character and worth of others by looking at outward appearances. If a person is tall, good-looking, well-built, and tastefully dressed, then he or she possesses physical qualities that humans generally admire and respect. Often these are the physical qualities we seek in a leader. But God has the unique ability to see inside a person. God knows our true character because he “looks at the heart.” Next time the world measures you up wrong by human standards and the flesh, know that God looks at the heart. For physical exercise is of limited value, but godliness is valuable in every way, holding promise for the present life and for the one to come. Give me a person with control over there spirit than a person that can conquer a city. Yes, better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city. A humble thought to close: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. He picked us all before the foundations of the world. Its time to walk in the upward calling of Christ. You are not like the world. Your heart has been transformed by the power of the Gospel. You got what it takes living on the inside. Walk by your giant heart of faith and not by sight.
