Proverbs of a 40 yr old man

Before we were in Christ, our lives were meaningless. All things were wearisome, more than one can say. The eye never had enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing. What had been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one can say, "Look! This is something new"? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time. You have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them have become meaningless like a chasing after the wind. But Praise God for His fresh inspiration from the Wind of Holy Spirit! The wind blows where it pleases, and you hear its sound, but you don't know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." Jesus was born and came to into this world not to condemn the it but to save it through his death on the Cross! He came to make all things new! He is the something new and the desire of the ages all mankind has been waiting for! For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God. Amen. This life we live can have meaning now with Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith. If we suffer now, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. No, we suffer for righteousness sake to know Jesus as LORD and Savior of our life. So don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. We are being transformed from death to life. Instead, be very glad for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world. Here on earth we will have many trials and sorrows. But we are called to take heart because Jesus has overcome this world. In Christ, our lives have meaning and great significance, because Christ's life has meaning and great significance. A day is coming when all of Christ's glory will be revealed to the universe. His full worth will become obvious to all. By extension, our lives will be shown to be meaningful and worthwhile on that day as well. And to the extent that we have suffered for Him, we will have that much more joy and gladness on that day. Oh child of faith! You can have a meaningful life filled with purpose today even in the midst of sin and suffering.
