Proverbs of a 40 yr old man
Spirit lead me. Lead me with the Living Word and then let my feelings follow. I want to know the LORD not just by book and cover, but by heart and soul. I want to know when your weighty presence is near Jesus. I am learning to trust you even when I can't see things yet. Even in the suffering, I have to believe it. Yes, Holy Spirit lead me by still waters and green pastures. If You say, "It's wrong, " then I'll say, "No". If You say "Release, " I'm letting go. If You're in it with me, I'll begin. And when You say to jump, I'm diving in. If You say, "Be still, " then I will wait. If You say to trust, I will obey. I don't wanna follow my own ways. I'm done chasing feelings, Oh Spirit lead me! The Spirit of Christ alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words Jesus has spoken to you and me are spirit and life. Oh Jesus you are my God. Show me what you want me to do, and let your gentle Spirit lead me in the right path. For your name’s sake, LORD, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble. For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God! We once were rebellious enemies of God having friendship with this world. Running away kicking and screaming from the call of repentance in Christ. But now we received the gift of Holy Spirit and we are maturing in our ways and leaving the childish things of the world behind. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Daily we are renewing our hearts and minds and we are lest resistant when Holy Spirit speaks. We receive the love of our Heavenly Father and remain in his love more than ever before. Yes, we are becoming children of the Living God! How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Oh that the lost would find a home for there wayward soul. Spirit is thicker than blood, and the adoption of sons and daughters of God is the greatest joy a human can experience in this life. God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation.
