Proverbs of a 40 yr old man
If you trust your wealth, you will fail. But if you do good things and seek righteousness, your life will develop. Your character will develop. Your mindset will be renewed. You will be rich in the knowledge of Christ that comes with spiritual blessings beyond any material blessing on earth. How much is peace worth? How much is self control? And joy can it be bought and sold and bottled for selfish consumption?Listen, wealth does not matter. If we are wealthy, we must not trust in wealth. Once a wealthy young man wanted to follow Jesus. Jesus told him to give everything to poor people. Jesus loved the young man, but the young man refused. The young man trusted his wealth more than he trusted God. When connected to the Vine we flourish like a green leaf attached to the fruit on tree. The LORD makes the fruit grow as we live in the Spirit. We are branches with green lucious leaves able to produce and bear fruit for the Kingdom in every season and trial. My wealth and value comes straight from the fruit of the Vine. Jesus is the Vine and true sustainer of riches and abundance. The thief of this world comes only to steal and kill and destroy; but Jesus has come that we may have life, and have it to the full.
