Proverbs of a 41 yr old man

Suffering is The badge of true discipleship. We are called to deny ourselves for the sake of Christ. The world says to love yourself and listen to your heart. To desire the flesh and enjoy what God calls sin. We only have one life to live, and we are called to suffer unto righteousness. It will show that we are children of God. We learn obedience as sons and daughters of God through the things we suffer just like Christ died. He suffered and died for all to become children of God. Yes, we glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. Amen. Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? Nothing can separate us from God's love--not life or death, not angels or spirits, not the present or the future, and not powers above or powers below. Nothing in all creation can separate us from God's love for us in Christ Jesus our Lord!
