Proverbs of a 41 yr old man
Your faith needs maturity. It takes strengthening, it only comes from prayer and hearing of the Word of God. It's your purpose to know God! So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Amen. Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. Faith, hope, and love are the greatest virtues to have working in your heart and life. But it takes time for us to mature in these areas of our hearts. The LORD has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. God has planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end. Amen. May we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
