Proverbs of a 41 yr. old man
The Spirit of Christ is so pure and holy. Like a chaste virgin presented in marriage is the Holy Spirit given to the believer. God in Christ jealously longs for the Sprit he has caused to dwell in us. God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” May the LORD strengthen our hearts so that we will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones. Amen. The blood of Jesus is sacred and precious. Jesus died for us so that we would die to self and live for Him through the power of His Spirit living in us. But the Spirit of Christ is so holy and pure that he will not continue to give his Spirit to those who trample his blood and grace. He will not throw his pearls to the pigs as the expression goes. For what does all the kinds of sins we live in have to do with the Spirit of Christ living in us? We quench the power of Holy Spirit by our constant sin and disobedience, our apathy and ignorance. We grieve Holy Spirit by not pursuing relationship with Jesus. If we don't drawer closer to God we will begin to lose the power of Holy Spirit and the power of flesh will weaken us. God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. We are to run from all evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. And as we pursue him and seeking the Kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit adds all things. The pure Holy Spirit of Christ comes to us and cleanses us. He continually pours out his spirit renewing our minds and regenerating our hearts. Making us chaste virgins with his pure love and grace. Each day becoming more like Him our true Bridegroom and we His Made pure by his blood Bride. We are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory. When he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
