Proverbs of a 41 yr. old man (Please Read Urgent)
You are called to be pure salt and not sweet sugar. In this world we are not to just be kind and sweet to everyone. If you're a Christian God has called you to be the salt of the earth. The very nature of a Christian is to be salt. Yes, we are to have the fruit of Holy Spirit in our lives. But to a broken world in sin, we need to stop being sugar affirming wickedness. Societies naturally degrade if people don't stand for righteousness. Sin and death will destroy a nation if the people of God lose their salty flavor. You see, salt slows down the natural decay of something that is rotting. The world is passing away, and with it its lusts [the shameful pursuits and ungodly longings]; but the one who does the will of God and carries out His purpose's lives forever. Amen. By you being sugar you decay alongside those who are enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin. Think about the story of Lot. God rescued Lot out of Sodom because he was a righteous man who was sick of the shameful immorality of the wicked people around him. Yes, Lot was a righteous man who was tormented in his soul by the wickedness he saw and heard day after day. Today, we are living in the midst of such immorality like Lot did. If we lose our saltiness and neglect the things of God, will the LORD not judge a nation? Crazy to think but Lot's wife turned into a pillar of salt. Fire and brimstone destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, and till this day all that remains there is useless salt. We have been called to be the final push back against the kingdom of darkness. Jesus said, on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. Listen, as Christians we have to push back. Not against people, but against ideologies, the ways of thinking that exists in our culture while we still can. There will be a day that when we will not be able to. We listen to celebrities and people that entertain us rather than the Word of God. So, be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work. As Christians we are to influence and be promoters of righteousness. Don't keep your convictions out of the public square. Joseph influenced Pharaoh, Daniel influenced Babylonian kings, and Esther influenced legislation to prevent genocide. I want to close with this. Many Christians are losing their salty flavor because of political correctness and wokeness. For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones. Amen. Because of the strong pull of humanism and progressivism many believers cease to be effective as salt. Impurity will keep us flavorless, compromising our beliefs degrades our taste for God. Many of us look like salt but don't taste like salt. We are being discipled by the ways of this world. So, we think like the world, and we value like the world, and we even vote like the world. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. We are to be like the Jews in Babylon, involved in all areas of society to bring Gods kingdom's influence, even though this is not our home. Christians should make their voices heard in society, stay informed, vote, hold leaders accountable, and run for office if called by God. Never equal the flag with the Bible. Where Republican or Democrat means Christian or where American means you are in the Kingdom of God. Government is one of three God-ordained spheres (family, church, state) to maintain order in society. The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong. So, you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them and give respect and honor to those who are in authority. When voting for candidates to represent your nation and country remember this. You're not choosing a pastor or Valentine. Vote for policy, not personality. Personalities fade in couple of years but policies impact generations. Who out of the candidates we have to choose from is going to slow down the decay of society and culture. We must get our heads out of the sands of sugar and start being the salt of the earth. Don't give up your morals for money or bribe that the government wants to offer you. Make sure that no one is immoral or godless like Esau, who traded his birthright as the firstborn son for a single meal. You know that afterward, when he wanted his father’s blessing, he was rejected. It was too late for repentance, even though he begged with bitter tears. There will be people that gave up their birthright to vote or no vote for selfish pride and gain. Though they got their revenge, their privilege, and their money, in the process they lost the soul of their nation. Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people. Stop apologizing for being salt you are not sugar.
