Proverbs of a 42 yr old man

Spiritual life. How is your spiritual life? When you hear that, what is the first thing that pops in your head? Most people focus on the physical life, and rightfully so. If a person does not work they won't eat. The present circumstances you are facing now is not an illusion, it is real struggle in the physical life. Jesus says something so astonishing to me in Luke 12:23 For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. Amen. He always had food more important than our regular and very important daily bread. Jesus called this food the will of His Father. John 4:34 Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work. Amen. Even his body was just clothing to Him. Scriptures prophesies of a body prepared for Him. Heb. 10:5 That is why, when Christ came into the world, he said to God, “You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings. But you have given me a body to offer. Amen. Jesus had a physical life here on earth but lived it from spiritual life. He once said, Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity. That's caring about spiritual life more than physical life. Thats Moses choosing to suffer with the people of Israel than enjoy the fleeting pleasures of Egypt. Think about this: 1 John 3:16 By this we know what love is: Jesus laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. That's spiritual life. The very next verse is about caring for your brother or sister in need. Again, I repeat how is your spiritual life? Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.” Amen. It's human nature to focus on the physical life so much. But I cant help but think we are vain when we do this. Its like a woman always focusing on the outer beauty when its the inner beauty that will last. Rom. 8:13 For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. Amen. Could be it, it's all about spiritual life and this physical life loses it's power? What does spiritual life mean, is it to live with nothing and go live in the nature? Or is to live the physical life how you want and the spiritual life wil balance it out on its own. I'm going to let Holy Spirit speak to you.  I think it's here where we started in Luke 12:23 and on: 

23For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. 24Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! 25Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? 26And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?

27“Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 28And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

29“And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things. 30These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs. 31Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.

32“So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.

33“Sell your possessions and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven! And the purses of heaven never get old or develop holes. Your treasure will be safe; no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it. 34Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. Amen.

Let me close with this, spiritual life is relationship with God in Christ. It is possible to live a life not knowing God and living a physical life that pleases yourself. But if you want a Spiritual life that is abundant and can sustain you beyond this physical life you can see. Seek first and most importantly aim at, strive after the kingdom and His righteousness, Christs way of doing and being righ, the attitude and character of God, and all these things will be given to you also. Key words is all these things. That's that physical life. Let's focus more  on our relationship with God in Jesus, so we can live a life that is more than food and this body. King David once said,

I once was young and now am old, yet never have I seen the righteous abandoned or their children begging for bread. Amen. I believe that both spiritually and physically more than ever before in my life.
