Don't stare at the mirror too long, you might be feeling yourself too much and become prideful in all your ways. (Ezekiel 28:17 Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So, I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings.) Amen. Instead, stare at the Cross long enough and you will see a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. Yes, you will see the beauty of your salvation and the blessing of being seated next Christ. Sons and daughters of God because of the glory of God's love for us! And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!" This highlights the beauty of Christ’s humility and obedience. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. This shows the victory we have over sins pride and rebellion in us. We can live a humble life in the fear of the LORD. You can come back to that mirror now and with transformed minds and hearts see the beauty of Christ in us, the hope of glory! So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. 2 Cor 3:18. Listen, The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. Your beauty will not last forever. The lusts, the flesh and the enemy will not last forever. Whoever loves his life will lose it, but whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Psalm 37:20
But the wicked and enemies of the LORD will perish like the glory of the fields. They will vanish; like smoke they will fade away.
Let me close with these verses and let Holy Spirit continue to speak to you: What sorrow awaits the proud city of Samaria— the glorious crown of the drunks of Israel. It sits at the head of a fertile valley, but its glorious beauty will fade like a flower. It is the pride of a people brought down by wine. Is. 28:1. From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. Rev. 19:15
Ezekiel 28:11-19
11Then this further message came to me from the LORD: 12“Son of man, sing this funeral song for the king of Tyre. Give him this message from the Sovereign LORD:
“You were the model of perfection,
full of wisdom and exquisite in beauty.
13You were in Eden,
the garden of God.
Your clothing was adorned with every precious stone—
red carnelian, pale-green peridot, white moonstone,
blue-green beryl, onyx, green jasper,
blue lapis lazuli, turquoise, and emerald—
all beautifully crafted for you
and set in the finest gold.
They were given to you
on the day you were created.
14I ordained and anointed you
as the mighty angelic guardian.
You had access to the holy mountain of God
and walked among the stones of fire.
15“You were blameless in all you did
from the day you were created
until the day evil was found in you.
16Your rich commerce led you to violence,
and you sinned.
So I banished you in disgrace
from the mountain of God.
I expelled you, O mighty guardian,
from your place among the stones of fire.
17Your heart was filled with pride
because of all your beauty.
Your wisdom was corrupted
by your love of splendor.
So I threw you to the ground
and exposed you to the curious gaze of kings.
18You defiled your sanctuaries
with your many sins and your dishonest trade.
So I brought fire out from within you,
and it consumed you.
I reduced you to ashes on the ground
in the sight of all who were watching.
19All who knew you are appalled at your fate.
You have come to a terrible end,
and you will exist no more.”
