Proverbs of a 42 yr old man

Made to give Him Glory Part 2. God is the only one who can receive glory and not be corrupted by it. He is able to receive glory and share it with His Creation. Jesus is the True Vine stout in all His Glory and yet He shares His glory with us His branches as we bear fruit for the Kingdom. The darkness has never understood this glorious Truth and Light. When people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. In Ezekiel 28:14-17 it talks about iniquity found in Lucifer's heart. Pride and glory was something he wanted for himself. Here is the Scripture: I ordained and anointed you as the mighty angelic guardian. You had access to the holy mountain of God and walked among the stones of fire. You were blameless in all you did from the day you were created until the day evil was found in you. Your rich commerce led you to violence, and you sinned. So, I banished you in disgrace from the mountain of God. I expelled you, O mighty guardian, from your place among the stones of fire. Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty. Your wisdom was corrupted by your love of splendor. So, I threw you to the ground and exposed you to the curious gaze of kings. Amen. Think about this: Lucifer's very presence reflected off God and was supposed to bring Him glory. Pride is an original sin that seeks to take glory from the Creator of it all, God Himself! What did Jesus think about glory? Let's read Phil. 2 starting in verse 5. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage.

7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross! Amen! We are sons and daughters of God that get to share in His Glory! Jesus says we are seated with Him in heavenly places. God is Trinity and He is able to share The Spirit of Christ with every believer. God shares His glory with us! Isn't that amazing? But if we are to share in His glory we also have to share in His sufferings. God does His best work through suffering and brings Glory to His Name. This is so difficult to process in the natural. It was through the glory of the Cross that He was elevated to Highest place. And it is through the broken contrite spirit that God cannot deny His faithfulness and love. Oh, the joy set before Him that He would endure the cross, scorning its shame, and then sit down at the right hand of the throne of God. What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was given a position “a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now “crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone. God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation. Amen. Just like the angels of heaven, we reflect the glory of God in every way. With the angels they are literally in God's presence and reflect His Glory. But with humanity we reflect different since we were made in the image of God. Even the angels desire to look at this great work of God with humanity, this plan of salvation that brings glory! Our very being and existence is different than the angels. In our suffering God gets the most glory and honor. The angels who did not stay within the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged. God has kept them securely chained in prisons of darkness, waiting for the great day of judgment. Yes, the angels left their first abode and were cast out of heaven. We as human beings are redeemed by the blood of Christ and have our very home in Him and He in us. We glory in Jesus as daily we surrender our lives to His Work in our fallen world. Let me close with the words of The Apostle Paul whom Jesus said I will show Him how much he must suffer. Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD.” God. Galatians 6:14 But as for me, may I never boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Psalm 105:3 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. 1 Peter 4:12-13 Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad, for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.
