Praise God that His Love is unconditional in Christ. The Cross has met the conditions, and we as believers get to receive the fruit of the Spirit that brings abundant life, against such things there is no law. We take upon us His yoke and learn from Him, for He is gentle and humble in heart, and we find rest for our souls. The yoke is a powerful metaphor for both burden and partnership. Literally, it was a wooden beam placed between the necks of oxen to help them work together, symbolizing cooperation and shared purpose. Figuratively, it can represent the weight of life’s challenges, the bondage of sin, or the bond of love and service. We are yoked together on the Cross of Christ. I am crucified with Christ therefore I no longer live but Jesus living in me. I am yoked together with Him in his death so that may experience real life and resurrection through the fellowship of his sufferings. Think about though what conditional love means. It's a love that is given only if certain conditions or expectations are met, rather than freely and without restrictions. Conditional love is when affection, support, or attention is tied to specific behaviors, achievements, appearances, or circumstances. If those conditions aren’t met, the person may withhold love, affection, or commitment. For example, saying “I’ll love you as long as you keep looking a certain way” or “I’ll stay if you never change” shows conditional love. Conditional love often stems from early experiences where love was tied to performance, appearance, or compliance. This can be learned in environments with high demands, unrealistic standards, or punitive responses to imperfection. But Gods love in Christ Jesus our LORD is different. Jesus did away with this kind of thinking on the Cross. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So, we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. We love each other because he loved us first. As we grow in relationship with Jesus, we begin to feel safe in His Neverending Love. He allows us to grow in grace and truth keeping us blameless till He returns. No more high expectations for how you should act, look, or change. Its not about going from bad to good but from death to life! Not about withholding affection or support when conditions aren’t met. but receiving a cleansing by His Blood for a guilty conscience and enjoying a real holy life! No more jealousy, competition, or attempts to sabotage your achievements. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. No more people-pleasing to meet approval of manmade systems and doctrines. No more superficial emotional investment that fades when demands aren’t met. We have the gift of the Spirit of Christ in us, and we enjoy real relationship and emotions with God. To the point where the Holy Spirit intercedes with groans when we don't know what to pray for. Amen. I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
