Proverbs of a 42 yr old man

Updated: Aug 20

Made To Give God Glory part 4 finale. We are the Image of God in Christ. We are going to eventually get to that statement. But I want to start off in Matt. 12:22-30. Jesus just casted out a demon from a man and the Pharisees said something so wicked. Almost if Satan himself said it trying to show himself god of this world. Read with me: 22 Then a demon-possessed man, who was blind and couldn’t speak, was brought to Jesus. He healed the man so that he could both speak and see. 23The crowd was amazed and asked, “Could it be that Jesus is the Son of David, the Messiah?”

24 But when the Pharisees heard about the miracle, they said, “No wonder he can cast out demons. He gets his power from Satan, the prince of demons.”

25 Jesus knew their thoughts and replied, “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A town or family splintered by feuding will fall apart. 26 And if Satan is casting out Satan, he is divided and fighting against himself. His own kingdom will not survive. 27 And if I am empowered by Satan, what about your own exorcists? They cast out demons, too, so they will condemn you for what you have said. 28 But if I am casting out demons by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you. 29 For who is powerful enough to enter the house of a strong man and plunder his goods? Only someone even stronger, someone who could tie him up and then plunder his house. 30“Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me. 31“So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come. Amen. Come on!!!!! Are you seeing this? Are you hearing this pertaining to God's Glory. Every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven. Only one cannot be forgiven, and thats the original sin of pride that began in heaven. The creation takes the glory of God uses it for there own glory. What Lucifer did not want is the Spirit of God living in Him. He wanted to be God, live apart from God in his own spirit, leaving God has a genie to manipulate and dethrone. Is that not what mankind on earth does following the ways of the devil? I know this is alot to read but it all connects. Starting in Romans 1:18

18But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities, his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

21Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.

24So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. 26That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. 27And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.

28Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. 29Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. 30They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. 31They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. 32They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too. Amen.

Is this not what happened to the once cherub angels in heaven now cast out into utter darkness? They became creatures called demons, instead of worshipping God they worshipped themselves and the created things God has made like the sun, moon and the stars. The demons are restless for a host body to live in so that can try to satisfy that need of God in their life and manipulate the sinful human race.  Scripture says that they believe in God and tremble. They said, Why are you interfering with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before God’s appointed time?” They told Jesus we are Legion. My name is Legion, because there are many of us inside this man.” What????? Then the evil spirits begged him again and again not to send them to some distant place. They exchanged the glory of God in heaven and now in this particular story they wanted to be sent into pigs that were considered unclean. Think about that? They were God's literal presence and now amongst pigs. All because of the glory of God that they did not want to give to Him. That same question that the Snake asked Eve in the garden of Eve he still asked today. The devil said: God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” Wow. We are all prodigal sons of God in Adam. The pride of life the lust of the eyes and the flesh took everything from us. To the point of leaving us with pigs and demons wishing to be with God again. Jesus has made a way for us back to God. We can live a life welcomed back to the Father and Creator of us all. The one way, the fully man and God, Jesus Christ. The second Adam a life giving Spirit. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. The enemy of our souls rejected the Trinity, wanting the glory and power, his own evil spirit. In Jesus we have the gift of Holy Spirit, God sharing his Holy Presence in us to be more like Him and not to be God. The Apostle Paul's said it so powerfully in Col. 1:27, Christ in you the hope of glory.

In the end. Do you want to be filled with God or empty and cease to exist without God? You were created. You always were and will always will be. But we do have a Maker and Creator who wants to fill you with his glory so you can know your divine purpose since before the foundations of the world. Humanity was meant to eat real food and drink at the Heavenly Kings table and not eat crumbs with the pigs and demons under the table of this world. The Devil and his demons are the prodigal sons that never wanted to go back home. They would rather live and die away from The Fathers Presence and House.

I will close out with these thoughts about how humanity, and especially Christians were made to bring glory to God:

(The image of God (Latin, imago dei) refers to the immaterial part of humanity. It sets human beings apart from the animal world, fits them for the dominion God intended them to have over the earth (Genesis 1:28), and enables them to commune with their Maker. It is a likeness mentally, morally, and socially.

Mentally, humanity was created as a rational, volitional agent. In other words, human beings can reason and choose. This is a reflection of God’s intellect and freedom. Anytime someone invents a machine, writes a book, paints a landscape, enjoys a symphony, calculates a sum, or names a pet, he or she is proclaiming the fact that we are made in God’s image.

Morally, humanity was created in righteousness and perfect innocence, a reflection of God’s holiness. God saw all He had made (humanity included) and called it “very good” (Genesis 1:31). Our conscience or “moral compass” is a vestige of that original state. Whenever someone writes a law, recoils from evil, praises good behavior, or feels guilty, he or she is confirming the fact that we are made in God’s own image.

Socially, humanity was created for fellowship. This reflects God’s triune nature and His love. In Eden, humanity’s primary relationship was with God (Genesis 3:8 implies fellowship with God), and God made the first woman because “it is not good for the man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18). Every time someone marries, makes a friend, hugs a child, or attends church, he or she is demonstrating the fact that we are made in the likeness of God. https://www.gotquestions.org/image-of-God.html)
