Deliver us from evil, Jesus. You are our Deliverer. We need deliverance from evil spirits and principalities of this world. Demons are entities that build up strongholds of our own doing. We get caught up in habitual sin because our minds and hearts are continually evil. The world, the flesh and the devil want to keep us under the influence. This is why the Holy Spirit; The Spirit of Christ came to deliver us from evil. Evil spirits have made their homes in the hearts of man. Ever since the fall of mankind in the Garden the knowledge of evil has led to sin and death. But Jesus died on the Cross to give us life for us. His Life is the light of the world. The same Spirit that rose Jesus from the dead lives in us. If you received Jesus as LORD and Saviour, he has cleansed you with His Blood and washed away your guilt and shame. Forgiveness has a name and His Name is Jesus. At the name of Jesus, the demons tremble and flee. Jesus came to cast out the devil from the temple of man's souls and God in Christ be the rightful owner through creation and rebirth. This starts with Jesus removing demons out of our lives and minds. Jesus says starting in Matt. 12:43-46, “When an evil spirit leaves a person, it goes into the desert, seeking rest but finding none. Then it says, ‘I will return to the person I came from.’ So, it returns and finds its former home empty, swept, and in order. Then the spirit finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the person and live there. And so that person is worse off than before. Amen. What great insight from our LORD Jesus. To be delivered from evil we need to have clean swept up heart and life. This is way more complicated than just casting out a demon. You seem, the knowledge of evil began to build up strongholds in your mind that no amount of casting out demons can help. We need the power of Jesus working in us and through us to keep the temple of our souls clean for holy use and living. He does this through the renewal of minds transforming us in the image of Christ himself. He is the new Adam a life-giving spirit we know live from and not flesh from the first Adam that is condemned to sin and death. So, strongholds are mindsets of the lies we believe against God and the lies we believe about people. These strongholds have been built over time, through generational curses and habitual sins like intricate walls that need to be broken down piece by piece. And only eternal time can restore stolen time. What the enemy tried to kill, steal and destroy God may take a lifetime to restore. He is the God of wholeness and does not leave you there in the destruction of your life. He wants to restore your soul and give the knowledge of what is good and holy. Demon casting is just the beginning, it is life transforming where you are not blaming the devil or blaming God for certain things, but we start realizing the evil in our hearts. Truly then experience the life of God in a clean and holy house ready to carry the pure presence of God daily. What the enemy is banking on is that humans would not renew their minds and just do self-help. But it's not enough, people are manipulated by demons daily and pass it off as needing a good workout. No, we need a deliverance from evil that only comes from God Himself, Jesus. What the blood of Jesus does for us is that He claims authority over our temple and starts to fortify our thinking. Building a foundation in us as he rewires instincts and desires. We are rewired with the divine nature of God! Amen. We have this treasure in jars of clay, the mystery of Christ in us the hope of glory. Amen. Contractors of homes say that the longest job usually is the electrical done throughout the house. It takes time, prudence and ability; both our infinite God has, and the enemy of our souls does not have. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. Amen. As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. As the Scriptures say, “I am placing a cornerstone in Jerusalem, chosen for great honor, and anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” Yes, you who trust him recognize the honor God has given him. But for those who reject him, “The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.” And, “He is the stone that makes people stumble, the rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they do not obey God’s word, and so they meet the fate that was planned for them. But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.” Amen.
