What if every time you choose Christ, you are breaking agreement with the person you used to be?

The flesh says, “Go back.”Fear says, “You’ll never change.”Your past says, “This is who you are.”

But the Spirit says, “You are a new creation.”

Even your brain has the ability to form new patterns through repeated thoughts and choices. This is called neuroplasticity.

So when you repeatedly choose truth over lies, purity over temptation, forgiveness over bitterness, faith over fear, and obedience over the flesh, old patterns can begin to weaken and new ones can begin to form.

But this is bigger than brain science.

The Holy Spirit is renewing your mind, cutting away the old nature, and forming the character of Christ in you.

The old nature does not get the final word.Your past does not get the final word.Your feelings do not get the final word.

Jesus does.

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

Choose Christ again. And again. And again.

Your mind is being renewed. Your patterns are being changed. Your life is being transformed.
