Proverbs of a 43 yr old man

Two spirits, two paths, two fruits.

There are two voices calling for our hearts, the spirit of the age and the Spirit of Christ. One whispers, “Live for yourself, follow every desire, chase what fades, and make your own name.” The other gently calls, “Come, follow Me. Lay yourself down, love deeply, forgive freely, serve quietly, and walk in truth.” One path feeds pride, fear, greed, lust, comparison, and division; the other grows love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Every day, our hearts are being shaped by one kingdom or the other. The question is not whether we are being formed, but what is forming us. The world says, “Become whatever you want.” Christ says, “Become who I created you to be.” Two spirits. Two paths. Two fruits. May our lives carry the fragrance of Christ in a world desperate for something real.
