Suffering Well
Good morning Brothers, Happy Monday! God loves you. I love you. Thank God for waking you up this morning. Take a moment to talk to, give a hug to, or just thank a Veteran for their service. Let’s sing, It may not be on the mountain height Or over the stormy sea, It may not be at the battle’s front. My Lord will have need of me. But if, by a still, small voice he calls To paths that I do not know, I’ll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in thine; I’ll go where you want me to go. I’ll go where you want me to go, dear Lord, Over mountain or plain or sea; I’ll say what you want me to say, dear Lord; I’ll be what you want me to be. Today’s verse is from 2 Corinthians 12:10. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. In the midst of suffering, we can rely on the grace of God to sustain us and carry us through. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? The world today seems full of ways to find comfort: relationships, things, food, distractions. It can be easy to lose sight of the ways the Lord is providing for you. Look in the Word, We may not get a chance to understand why we go through suffering, But we can use every opportunity to point to the Lord's deliverance and provision. Today seek out friends that will point you to the Lord and lift your suffering up in prayer. God loves you. Have a blessed day.
