The Good Shepherd

Good morning Brothers, Happy Wednesday. Thank God for this first day in October. God loves you. I love you. Take a moment to pray for someone, God will hear and answer your prayers. Please pray for us as we travel to Oakwood Academy for Oakwood live. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.‭‭(John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬). Let’s sing, I need the prayers of those I love, While trav’ling o’er life’s rugged way, That I may true and faithful be, And live for Jesus every day. I want my friends to pray for me, To bear my tempted soul above, And intercede with God for me; I need the prayers of those I love. Today’s verse is from Isaiah 40:11. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. God hasn't abandoned us to ourselves. Instead, He is leading us day by day with tenderness, compassion, and care. Jesus doesn't keep His distance. He gathers us, carries us, and draws near to us. In our weakness, He lifts us up. In our confusion, He leads. When we're overwhelmed, He doesn't demand more than we can give. He walks with us gently, personally, and with deep affection.

This is who our Shepherd is. Powerful enough to rule the universe, yet loving enough to carry us close to His heart. The best thing we can do for someone we care about is to model God's kindness and reflect His love. God loves you. Have a blessed day.
