Turn to God
Good morning, Happy Monday. Praise God for the start of the work week. God loves you. I love you. Take a moment to enjoy God‘s awesome creation. Let’s sing, You met me deep in my despair to show me You would never leave me there. You claimed because I was made for so much more. I am your child and I'm worth fighting for. Though heavy with the weight of my mistakes You carried me and refused to let me sink under the pressure. You meant for me to soar. I am your child and I'm worth fighting for! Today’s verse is from Psalms 40:1-2. I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. As Christians, we know we should turn to God and trust Him, but sometimes we forget to do so. If we examine this a little deeper, we'll recognize that forgetfulness isn't our issue-the issue is pride. Pride caused us to believe the lie that our lives and even our friendship, were better off in our hands than in God's. In the end, we found ourselves feeling exhausted, discouraged and distant from God. Looking back, we realize that God had been knocking on the door of our hearts for a long time, waiting to be invited in to heal what only He could heal. Which doors of your heart have you kept closed off to God? What's one action you can take today to turn to him and invite him in? God loves you. He desires to transform every area of your life. Have a blessed day.
