Oh To Be Wise-Meditations
Death is a reminder that all life belongs to God. You will not live forever and everything you have is not yours. You could have lived forever without God in bondage to sin and evil. But Jesus death on the Cross gave us the blueprints of a plan of salvation before the foundations of the world. A plan that shows ownership and responsibility. It shows a creator God that cares about His Creation. He is not a distant God but a very personal God that lives in and through His Creatures, allowing freedom of expression and function. His Spirit fills the whole world with life yet you don't see Him in visible form. Its through mysterious ways that we see the Presence of God. The animals give glory to God through there unique abilities and dedicated perseverance. The earth itself never speaks a word but lives in uniformity and trust to God's word and time. Humanities eyes have been open to know good and evil because of disobedience. We know that life is good and we love to enjoy our freedom. But it comes with a price which is the knowledge of knowing you will die someday, some earlier than others. Death is a reminder you were made to live for forever. God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life. In other words, the way to possess eternal life is to possess God's Son. The question is how can a person have the Son of God? Remember God lives in His Creatures through the Spirit of Life and is what animates everything around us. Humanity lives from the breath of God but also exist as the Image of God. We share the same spiritual DNA through Creation of Adam and Redemption in Christ. God has breathed His Presence in us from the beginning, different of any other creature created. We are temples for God to dwell in and live and have His Being. Right now without God's Spirit and just His Breath of life we are animals and beasts like the spiritual fowls of the air. But in Jesus the Christ we are restored back to God's plan and purpose for us. God is so amazing to share His Image with us and to let us serve Him as Kings and Priests. You want this life? Accept the life and death of Jesus Christ through personal faith and you will have it. Right now your body is dying but your Spirit given to God in faith in Jesus name is alive. Even though we will die one day we will have had eternal life a long time before that through faith. Jesus is and gives eternal life. And we receive it by having faith in Him and living for Him. It's all apart of God's beautiful plan. Amen.Â
