Oh To Be Wise Meditations
If you can't respect the stop sign how will you turn around at the danger sign? It's the little things that strengthen you for righteousness. Folly is bound up in a born again child of God. Discipline and instruction drives it far from us if we allow it. There are so many stop signs we blow by that God has put for us to see and obey. If we could see the stop signs of sin from our heart, then we could avoid the consequences of sin and it's danger. Even with our own 5 senses we have the gift of common sense through the Holy Spirit. Meaning that lust is not just a physical thing but a heart thing. Greed is not just a bad habit but an issue of contentment. If we have made it to the danger sign in our sins usually there will be pain and regret. God has his stops signs for a reason, its so you don't hurt yourself and train in righteousness. We need to be humble in receiving teaching and reproof. This is the purpose of the body of Christ. To grow together in wisdom and learn to put aside foolishness. A faithful brother can see you pass a stop sign or danger sign and encourage you back to safety. Oh to be wise in this: to study and learn the word of God to identity stop signs and danger signs in my life. I need you Jesus to show me what is profitable for teaching, reproof, for correction, and training in righteousness. In whatever I do whether in word or deed I will do it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. He is the way I will go and the truth I will follow. The life I now live, I live in Christ, staying away from danger signs. Paying attention to all stop signs to avoid sin and it's folly.
