You living in godliness is protecting you from foolishness and destruction. But the liberal soul is trapped and ensnared by evil desires. They are taken captive by their own lusts of the flesh. It is like digging a pit and falling in it. It's like untamed desire breaking down a wall of moral boundary. And when you think you have gotten away with it, the evil serpents bites you and leaves you to die in your sin. We have everything we need to live a life that pleases God. It was all given to us by God's own power, when we learned he had invited us to share in his wonderful goodness. Your relationship with Jesus is your protection from sin and death.
