Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Lord, I am so optimistic because I know you. So many stressful things happen throughout the day but I have this peace and quiet confidence in you. That I almost want to smile or chuckle in the face of adversity. It's like a secret source I tap into when my back is against the wall and I have no other option but to trust God. Sometimes a song of praise comes from my lips as I am being held in a fiery trial. Tears not of sadness but of painful joy knowing Christ has my back. When I am pressed in on all sides, I am still not crushed in mind. When I am perplexed I am not in total despair. When I am persecuted I am not forsaken left without Holy Spirit. Even if I am struck down I am not destroyed, held together by Christ. I carry around in my body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed through my body. What peace to know, what a life to live, surrendered to the Glory and Majesty of Jesus my Lord!
