Oh To Be Wise Meditations

It is so easy to profess truth but to actually live it out takes relationship and discipline. The more time I spend with Christ the more I become like him. The more I discipline myself to practice righteousness the more fruit I will bear in my life. Truth is something everyone is looking for and many times its easy to spot a fake. Sin makes us look like liars even though we want to do what is right. There are laws of life given to us by God that are for instruction and protection. They are so universal in nature that when not practiced it's called injustice. We should treat each other like we want to be treated. We should care for the widow and the orphan. But sin causes us to be liars, to say one thing and do another. To live out the truth should be the desire of every child of God. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. Let us confess our sins to Jesus for he is faithful and just to forgive us and purify us from all unrighteousness. I admit I do not live in the truth all the time. I fail miserably in being the person God calls me to be. If we claim we have not sinned, we make God out to be a liar and his word is not in us. Lord let be wise in this: Let me not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. Jesus is my grace and my truth. I must know the truth so the truth can set me free. Free from living a lie. Free to live in truth because of grace. Jesus thank you for the space of grace so I can safely grow in truth and love. I want my words to match my actions so I can truly reflect the truth of your word.
