Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Heaven is a supernatural place. A holy paradise of astronomical proportions. New heavens and new earth. Former things not remembered nor will they ever come to mind. Every day is heaven and every breath is spirit and life. Will I run on water? Will I fly with the eagles? How about wrestle a lion or a bear as I fall asleep reclining on them. What does it mean to never thirst again or be hungry again? To run and not be weary, to rest and never need sleep? Oh to truly love and never experience hate again. The curse of death defeated and its stench gone from our presence. Where everything that has breath praises the Lord! Oh to live in the safety of Jesus arms and have the protection of Holy Spirit fill the atmosphere. The power of God will endow us with holy light covering our sin and shame. We will be so pure that we will shine like the sun of righteous. He will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. Real citizens of heaven walking in the city of God. A house not made with human hands but an eternal home in the heavens forever. I long and groan for heaven, to finally put away this tent of a body. To be clothed with the Presence of Christ and live in pleasures forevermore. One day what is mortal will be swallowed up, and what is eternal will remain. I will say with tears in my eyes, this is eternal life, to know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ my Lord and my Redeemer.
