You have a shallow perspective to believe in just chance and luck. When you choose to believe in a cause and effect you are go deeper in your faith. You are not deceived because you know God is not mocked. Whatever has been sown will be reaped. And if it was good seed planted in fertile soil at the right time and in the right climate. Such seeds nearly always yield a harvest. So don't make a fool of yourself. You will harvest what you plant. If you follow your selfish desires, you will harvest destruction, but if you follow the Spirit, you will harvest eternal life. Faith in Christ is rich soil to plant your hopes and dreams in.
