Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Jesus, you see the mechanic in me, the hard worker in me. You want me to build my life on the solid rock of your word. So you pass me the hammer and say, build my son. My sleep is sweet because you give me the strength to work hard. But It is useless to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; God gives rest to his loved ones. I have peace that you my Lord are working behind the shadows, covering my foolish mistakes. Then bringing me back to them later to show me the error of my ways. You do not want me to leave behind a mess. Through Holy Spirit in me I can fix things I tore down in the flesh. I can stop chasing fantasies that have no sense, and work hard with the things you have given me. Like a good father teaching his child how to fix a broken thing. I see you Lord giving me instruction and detail with a smile on your face. Never angry but patient with my learning. Together my Lord, I know we can build a life that glorifies you. Thank you Jesus for the sweat on my brow, it reminds me of your sacrifice for us. I need to know how much it cost to see my sin upon the Cross.
