God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past. He was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. God is the judge of the whole world. All people are guilty in front of him. But Jesus showed how much God loves us. God forgives those who trust in Jesus. They have become righteous of faith in Christ. Faith is not a kind of work. It is to trust God because of what he has done by Jesus. To be righteous is a gift of life to those who are dead in their sins. Jesus, you freed us from the power of sin and death by your blood. You created us with lifeblood and we cannot live without it. We were destined to die to the flesh but you purchased us with your blood instead. The fact that you Lord gave your lifeblood for me is amazing. Because you live the curse of death has no sting. We are partakers of his holiness through the blood of Jesus.
