Oh To Be Wise Meditations

This is me, the person I was meant to be. Who am I apart from sin? Who am I when their is no sin to hide? When everything gets  stripped away and I am spiritually naked, yes pure, before my God. Forget what happened long ago! I don't think about the past but press forward towards my future with Christ. Anyone who is joined to Christ is a new being; the old is gone, the new has come. I have a new heart and new spirit within me that desires to be faithful. Putting away my stubborn heart and living from an obedient one. Each of us are now a new people. We are becoming more and more like our Creator, and because of that we will understand him better. In the beginning God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Through the death and ressurection of Jesus Christ, God is recreating man into his image. Jesus took on the very form of man he created, and restored their heavenly value. What amazing love is this, for the Lord to take on our likeness, our flesh and live among us. He lived to die, so that we could die to live. Born of a woman so that we could be born of God. The person I am now, and who I am becoming is really who I am. I was born of woman, but now I am born of God. This is me, the person I was meant to be. Meditate 1 John 5:4
