Oh To Be Wise Meditations
The enemy knocked on the door of your heart and the door was open. While you were busy in the things of the world evil desire crept into your heart and sin was born. From the time we are young our thoughts and inclinations are evil. Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one. If this is true of us than let us not give any oppurtunity to the devil. The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy our lives. We must throw off our old sinful nature and our former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Lets lock the door of our hearts by being renewed in the spirit of our minds. Putting on a new self, a new nature that is according to the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. We are sinners in need of grace that constantly leave the door open to sin. Christ stands as judge at the door, will we let him in? He can clean up our heart and mind, and keep shut the door that we leave open for the enemy. Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. Stop all our dirty talk. Say the right thing at the right time and help others by what you say. Lets not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way we live. Remember, God has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that we will be saved on the day of redemption. Trust in Christ and close the door behind you.
